5 Things To Like This Week

  1. Black Mirror. Well, let’s see how much crap I get done when I discovered this little show? It’s genius and disturbing. Loved it. I get what the fuss was about.
  2. L’Oreal Paris Cosmetics Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara Set. This is one of those mascaras that you put the first coat on (it’s white) and then you put on the black mascara. Doing this causes thickness and length. I like it. It’s not as much as fake lashes, but it’s better than just a couple of strokes of regular mascara.
  3. Vega One-All-In-One Plant Based Protein Powder, Mixed Berry. I like to make myself a good smoothie on the weekend or after work on the weekdays. I usually just add pineapple and mixed berries to one scoop powder and water. Easy and yummy. (It’s certified Vegan and Gluten free.)
  4. CLINIQUE Gloss and Go Kisses Lip Set. My Mom gave me this gift set for Christmas and it really is luxurious. My Mom is good at finding stuff like that. LUX!
  5. Clothing Rack w/ Weekly Outfits and Accessories/Shoes. I’m not that organized, but I am this organized. Do you know how much time I save in the morning doing this?!! A lot. Maybe I will start making my bed then. Hee. Probably not.

  1. The Killers. I love them. They are not new or anything. I’ve just been listening to them and Brandon Flowers a lot lately. I’m looking forward to a new Killers album sometime this year or early 2020.
  2. Walking to Work. I live close to work and I really like walking. It is quiet and the sunrise is pretty. Plus, if you bundle up just right, you are not cold at all.
  3. Watching horrible but funny American Idol auditions on Youtube and some of the good moments too. I finally get what all the fuss was about, I guess.
  4. Strawberry Cheesecake Light & Fit Greek Yogurt. This is my afternoon snack and I love it. It tastes decadent but it isn’t bad for you!
  5. Primitive Cooking With Sros show on Youtube. Seriously, this girl has skills. I saw her make a stingray stir fry the other day. A sting-ray-stir-fry.

  1. Springsteen on Broadway. This show kept me smiling so hard my cheeks hurt. His songs have always been stories sewn together with a unique longing–with that harmonica winding through you like a coal train leaving your hometown daring you to do the same. At least, that’s what he’s always sounded like to me.  You can watch it on Netflix or listen to Spotify.
  2. Nag Champa perfume oil. I always get asked what perfume I am wearing and told that I smell good (so, it’s working). It’s my secret weapon and now I am sharing it with you. I buy it from a very reliable and wonderful shop on Etsy called Naturals by Nana. I buy the custom 1/3oz. roll-on fragrance oil–they last 6 months+. There are nearly 500 oils to choose from. I’ve even purchased Calvin Klien’s Euphora from there too. Check the shop out!
  3. Lucifer on Netflix. I wanted to hate it. I wanted to stop watching it. I didn’t want to give the DEVIL a chance. You watch it and you’ll see. (It’s based on Gaiman’s comic “The Sandman”). Get’s you asking the shocking question, “Would I sleep with Satan?” What?! You’ll see. Season 4 starts early 2019!
  4. Bitmoji. I may be the last person to find out about this app, but it’s pretty fun. You create this cute little emoji persona. You can pick your hair, clothing and accessories. Haha! Anyway, my niece and sister-in-law showed it to me at Christamas. It’s so cute!
  5. Boho Vintage Stuff. I just sold one of my vintage crochet afghans. I have more! Maybe you want one too? Also, I’ve extended free shipping until 12/31! Visit my Etsy shop MysticTeaTrinkets for some fun finds!

  1. The Lake House (2006). I’ve been on a Keanu Reeves kick lately and so I watched this ten-year-old movie starring him and Sandra Bullock. I’d never seen this one before and I loved it! Very existential–depicting “time” as almost another character in the movie. It was so good and who cares if it is over a decade old!
  2. Comedy Icons Radio on Pandora. I’m working on a TON of orders and I love listening to comedy–Tom Segura, John Mulaney, Dane Cook, Jo Koy, Chad Daniels and Jim Gaffigan are among a few that crack me up.
  3. TikTok app. It’s just silly and another time gobbler. Some are gems and some are misses. It’s free if you want to check it out.
  4. @kodyantle on Instagram. You’ll now exactly why I like this account when you see the long hair who runs it. Plus, there are tigers and a focus on conservation. I like it like that. Oh he’s so handsome what’s his name?
  5. Guess What? I’ve extended FREE SHIPPING on the Etsy shop until 12/31, but you gotta get your orders in by tomorrow to guarantee Christmas delivery!!

  1. Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation+Concealer. I love Clinique products and this foundation + concealer is wonderful. It’s full coverage, but also lightweight. The sponge tipped wand is the perfect applicator. I’ve gone through periods in my life of wearing foundation and then not wearing foundation. Because it isn’t a necessity in my make-up routine, I have to really like the product–and with this I really do.
  2. Candidly Kind” brings to life one-of-a-kind creations crafted by Grace Key, whose open heart since birth (est. 1998) has empowered love in all things.” Grace has Downs Syndrome and she creates art and clothing from some of her quirky sayings and art pieces. I love her “Be the Light” tee. I think I’m going to order that one soon.
  3. VistaPrint.com. Do you have a small business or just a side hustle like me? Then business cards are a must. I get mine through VistaPrints online. I never pay more than $20 if I just keep it simple. They also have many other marketing products. Like I said before, I just like to keep it simple. For example, I paid $14.98 for 500 business cards. This works well for me because I include one business card with every order. If you are looking for a good, inexpensive place to purchase marketing materials, I recommend VistaPrint.
  4. Nag Champa Wax Melts from Shortie’s Candle Company on Amazon. These are the best wax melts! Nag Champa is not a scent you’re going to find at WalMart. These wax melts are really high quality too. I’ve found that with other brands, the scent only lasts a few times, but with these, the scent lasts and lasts. I’ve had the same 3 squares in my warmer for, like, three months. They are a little more expensive, but they are worth it.
  5. Dyson V6 Animal 4-Tool Vacuum. I hate cleaning. I hate vacuuming and I think it is a little weird that I am including a vacuum on this list, but it is amazing. There is no cord and it’s true that it “doesn’t lose suction”! It wasn’t cheap, but it was a good investment. I would recommend it over any other upright–they are just not worth the hassle and thinking, “Is my carpet really getting clean?” Anyway, yes, a vacuum made the list this week. LOL
