5 Things To Like This Week

  1. Schitt$ Creek on Netflix. This show is adorable. It’s about a wealthy family that loses their finances due to poor investing and are forced to move to the tiny town of Schitts Creek. It’s hilarious seeing the two “cultures” meet.
  2. Toasted Coconut Bigelow Tea. This tea was gifted to me, but in my opinion, you really can’t go wrong with Bigelow–they make great, flavorful tea. This one really did taste like a coconut macaroon. Get some!
  3. Youtuber “Brandi TV who basically gets high off edibles and paints her face. She often recruits her husband in the videos and the two of them together are hilarious. He is so calm and chill and Brandi is bubbly and laughs at everything. This channel cracks me up. If you haven’t seen her before, you might want to check it out!
  4. Poshmark. Oh another clothing, accessory and shoe store app! This one is interesting and inexpensive. I haven’t ordered from the site yet, but the person who told me about it raves about the prices and the fact that you don’t pay for your item until you receive it. I am also thinking about selling on the app myself. I’ll keep you posted.
  5. “Destination Wedding” on Amazon Prime starring Wynona Rider and Keanu Reeves. This one is a classic romantic comedy starring two emotionally unavailable people who meet, fight, and well . . . watch it and see. Spoiler: There is a cameo by a mountain lion.

  1. Amy’s Spinach Lasagna. This lasagna is made for the microwave, but I bake it in the oven for dinner. So good and good for you.
  2. Inko’s Organic White Iced Tea White Peach. I like to pair this with sushi. It is not sweet but tastes like a real peach–not sugary sweet artificial peach. Yum.
  3. Social Media Influencer Gary Vaynerchuk. Gary doesn’t sugar coat anything. He also doesn’t f*ck around. If you want something, you gotta work for it. I agree with him, but I worry he may have a heart attack or stroke because he is so intense and never takes a day off. I like him for motivation, but I still know how to chill.
  4. Tana Mongeau. Kids these days. I’m literally mesmerized by these kids making Youtube videos and making serious cash. This girl has a house in LA and a house in Vegas. And her content isn’t bad. It can be a bit raunchy at times, but she honestly reminds me of myself when I was in my twenties. Oh, to be able to drink myself silly and eat Taco Bell at 2am without gaining a pound and hardly a hangover. Sigh. Those days are long gone, but I can laugh at them through Tana and her other social media influencer crew.
  5. SugarBearHair Gummy Vitamins. I really like these because other hair, skin and nail vitamins with the same amount of Biotin really upset my stomach. These don’t do that and they are really good and cute–like a gummy bear that gives you vitamins!

  1. Walmart Pick-Up Service. I hate going to Walmart. Now I don’t have to–unless I am spending more than $30. Literally no service fees or anything. Just $30 plus tax and I can drive out there and someone will literally walk my groceries out to me. I am keeping in mind that they are getting my personal shopping history–you know for algorithms and more specialized ads coming my way. You see, I think that is why it’s free. It’s an information exchange. But, sigh-shrug, whatever. I’ll take it if it’s after work on a Wednesday and I’m in heels.
  2. Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries. I’m warning you ahead of time. These things are CRACK. I think they figured out how to get Doritos dust+Potato Ole seasoning onto a fry. That’s just not fair. But damn, they are delicious.
  3. Mother! This is an amazing and very disturbing movie. It’s not what you think it is and that is the genius of it. I’m not going to say anything else. After you watch it, read THIS.
  4. Beto O’Rourke. Texas Representative Beto has won my heart! With his Kennedy-ish genuine swagger and his Obama-ish charisma and speech, I’m keeping my eyes on this guy–Willie Nelson is too.
  5. FALL! The leaves are changing, pumpkin spice is here, and scarves are in season! Plus, I’m getting some much needed pictures taken at the end of the month during my favorite season! Yay!

  1. Sunscreen. Hi. Skin cancer is no joke. Wear sunscreen on the daily, kay? Kay.
  2. You are loved. Suicide is also no joke. Know that you are truly loved. Call 1-800-273-8255 or text “TALK” to 741-741. I understand how hard it is to reach out too. I, myself, am a suicide survivor. You are not thinking about making a phone call. Survivors, advocates, allies CONTACT your friends who may be susceptible/sensitive and see how they are doing. Help them make the call. Go with your gut.
  3. Blue Sky Stevia Diet Root Beer. Grabbed a 6 pack of this in Montana. I wish they sold it in my town. I might ask my local grocer to stock it. You know you can always ask your grocery store and most of the time they will stock it or you.
  4. You’ve really gotta watch “Dina” (2017) currently being offered on Hulu. It is a rare gem documenting two people with Aspergers and other disabilities and their love, marriage and day-to-day life. You guys, this one will have you laughing, crying and literally beaming with happiness at this very real love between two very real and beautiful people. I believe this was also a Sundance Film Festival film. Anyway, it really is a must see.
  5. Harlots on Hulu. Whoo hoo this show is inappropriate!!! But I LOVED it! It was like a soap opera with the coolest costumes and, well, high society, London, 17th century prostitutes. What? What! It was a guilty pleasure, indeed!
